Euthanasia due to disease…..
Euthanasia due to disease is only providing a solution to what was inevitable.
In grief we always turn towards ourselves and blame ourselves for the outcome. Continually questioning all the “ whys” and “should haves” and “what if’s”. These questions help us to make sense as to the reason, the cause and the contributing factors behind the choice to be made.
We often lose sight of actually doing the humane and right thing for our beloved pets. Rather than allowing disease to take over and the pet loosing quality of life and causes suffering, the euthanize process has shown mercy.
The final act of love. The decision to stop the suffering and pain without question.
Ultimately what we must remember is that the outcome would have been the same regardless of whether the pet had been euthanised or simply left to the disease to take over. The pet’s life would have ended.
At the end of the day it was not going to be happy ever after here on earth if there was pain and suffering. It could be happy ever after for the pet finally being released of all pain and suffering and going to a better place where happy ever after is eternal.
The disease showed no mercy but as a loving pet owner you did and there can be no guilt surrounding this kind of decision.
